Pork Burger at Cristang, Petaling Jaya

Pork burger... This is actually introduced by my friend. She LOVES pork burger very much, but she has problem with directions and tends to get lost all the time. Therefore, we distribute our roles very well, in which she plays the role to search places for good food, while I drive her to the place. Well, my sense of direction is at least better than her. LOL...

So, here we are... Cristang... located at 8 Avenue, Petaling Jaya. For those who do not know the place, just google it, Google map is my favourite.

Some deco for the restaurant itself.

So sorry for the bad resolution, the lighting was dim inside, and I was taking photos using handphone, my bad...

Here comes the pork burger..

They serve a lot of different burger there. If I am not mistaken, the one I took should be pork burger P4, it is burger with pork patty, minced pork, and petai stuffed inside. Special huh? For those who like petai, this is something you should try. It is so nice, you cannot really smell it, but once you eat it, the aroma of petai will fill your mouth. Erm.. for those who do not like petai, there are still many others different burger that you can choose.

Here's the address of the place : Cristang Restaurant, Unit B-G-19, Jalan Jernih (8/1), Petaling Jaya, Selangor. Search for it, and go try out the burger.

Banana keeper

Saw this in Daiso.. thinking of sharing this, what a weird thing to be sold in a shop...

I never know Japanese loves bananas that much... They create a banana keeper to store the banana so that you can bring it out along with you.

Rapid Kuantan

Yeah, at last saw Rapid Kuantan... Reach Kuantan today, I stopped near the stadium, which is also near to Rapid bus station.

The Rapid bus is free of charge until end of April. It is no harm to give it a try, right?

My friend and I was thinking to go East Coast mall by Rapid Kuantan since one of the bus route will reach the mall. After waiting for a few minutes ( not so sure about the duration, but we waited until both of us lost our patience ), eventually, we walked to the East Coast mall. Yes, you heard me, we WALKED!!!

Actually it was nothing big deal, as the mall is near to the bus station.. hehe.. We thought we wanna wait for the bus, at least have a tour with the brand new bus in Kuantan, but we gave up, not much patience to wait for the bus to come under big hot sun.

Erm... Rapid Kuantan? May be next time...

Salted Gula Melaka Ice cream at Simply Mel's, Bangsar South

Ice cream time!

This is the salted gula melaka ice cream that my friend introduced me last time. I went through my photo album today, and saw this lovely ice cream, therefore thinking to share with you all.

This is really a special ice cream, well, at least it is special to me, since I never taste salted ice cream before. The name attracted me at the beginning.

Salted Gula Melaka Ice cream
Just like its name, it's salted, therefore the taste is a bit salty. With the aroma of gula melaka, it really taste nice, hard to describe it, go and try out yourself at Simply Mel's, located at The Sphere, Bangsar South.

Simply Mel's serves Malacca Portuguese cuisine, and they serve a lot of desserts prepared with coconut milk. I didn't order those as I never fancy coconut milk much.

I prefer their ice cream instead. They have different flavour of ice cream, the salted gula melaka is just one of them. Thinking to try out the others some other day... hehe...

Hokkaido Cake

This is my first Hokkaido cake.

At first I was wondering why everyone is so obsess about this Hokkaido cake. Well, it really taste good, soft and tasty. It's like chiffon cake, may be a little bit sweeter, and with some icing sugar on top of it (well, I guess that is to mimic the snow at Hokkaido...hehe.... )

Hokkaido Cake

The one that I chose is vanilla flavour. Whenever you choose to taste new thing, better take those standard one, for example vanilla or plain one. If it really taste good, then you can proceed to any other flavours.

At least this little snowy thing is not disappoint me at all. I like it, it's much softer than standard chiffon cake and like what I said earlier, a bit sweeter as well. Well, no harm to take some sweet cakes occasionally, isn't it?

You can find this at many different cake shops, go and try out some, it really taste good for those who like simple, soft and spongy cake !

My stay in Johor Bahru

Just like what I post earlier, I went Johor Bahru last weekend. During my visit, I stayed in Tune Hotel Danga Bay, Johor. I never stay in Tune Hotel before as I notice the hotels normally located near to the airport instead of the town (not to say Tune Hotel in downtown KL and Penang)

Here's the place, looks nice and new, isn't it?

With the Legoland getting most promoted nowadays as one of the important tourists' attraction in Johor, Tune Hotel also provides tickets and together with the stay in the hotel itself with cheaper price. You can look at the photo below, They even put up the banner to promote the place.

Tune Hotel Danga Bay
Check out this to know better - Tune Hotel. There are various services that they provide. And they actually put up different prices that they charged for each of the services available. Therefore, you can individualized the service that you want and drop those that you do not need. For example, if you need aircon, just add in on in your request during hotel booking. If you missed it, you can also add on during check in. Easy, right?

For myself, I do not use aircon that much (afraid of cold), therefore I will face big problem whenever I stay in hotel since they always have centralized aircon system, it is always too cold for me. During my stay in Tune hotel, I just pick for the single room with double bed, and nothing more than that, help me to save money as well. :)

If you cannot survive without aircon, you can buy prepaid air-conditioning credit units in sets of either 12-hours or 24-hours. According to Tune hotel, prepaid air-conditioning units are programmed into room key cards, deducted while in use and can be split up over the entire period of stay. For example, if you purchase 12-hours for use over a 2 night stay, you can use 6 hours on the 1st night of your stay, and another 6 hours on the 2nd day. Not bad, huh? Since normally when we travel, we don't usually stay in the room all the time, therefore the usage of aircon can be controlled by ourselves.

Where did I went for my tour to Johor? Em... nothing much after settle my thing there. Just hang out with my friends, and visited City Square. My friends told me, do not expect much, there is nothing much in Johor. Even the mall there is smaller. Well, we can not compare KL with Johor, right?

El Migos Mexican Pizzadillas

Here is the place for our dinner - El Migos Mexican Pizzadillas inside the City Square. Took minutes and minutes to wait for the food to be served, lack of staff I think.

Grilled chicken with spicy Mexico sauce

Grilled Chicken that I ordered. The spicy sauce is special, as what we normally have for the sauces will always be standard sauces like mushroom, or black pepper. This sauce is special, not too spicy, adding extra aroma for the chicken itself. However, the dish is a bit oily, I believed you can see from the photo above as well.

So there goes my holiday in Johor.  :)

Lavender Bistro at Senai Airport, Johor

What a busy and tiring weekend!

I went to Johor to attend my friend's wedding last weekend, while waiting for my flight back to KL, I had my brunch at Lavender Bistro.

This is the 1st time I visited Lavender Bistro a.k.a L.Bistro, as I only saw Lavender Bakery all the time around KL. Today when I google Lavender, I found that L.Bistro is available in AEON Bukit Tinggi, Klang. No wonder la, it's so far away from KL!

I didn't manage to take the photo of the shop's outlook, but I'm sure most of you able to identify the unique logo of Lavender. The menu for breakfast is a bit limited, as not much of choices is available for that specific timing.

Here's what I ordered for myself -Peach & Berries French Toast, a beautiful and tasty brunch to start off my day..

Peach & Berries French Toast RM12
This Peach & Berries French Toast consists of 4 pieces of the toast, peaches and blueberries, together with some blueberry jam on top of it. You can spread it according to your desire.

Does it seems too sweet for you, since there are peaches and berries, and some sifted icing sugar on top??? Guest what, the taste is just nice, never too sweet... somehow, you can cut down the jam if you really do not like it to be too sweet.

The toasts are nice, never too oily and never too greasy. Try this if there is any L.Bistro around your place. Too pricey? aiyo, once in a while, okay la... :P

And this is what my friend ordered - Caesar salad

Caesar salad RM12
The salad sauce tastes very nice, the aroma is different from those standard salad outside there. It is difficult to explain it here, you need to try it out yourself. I like this as much as I like the French toast.

Nadeje KL at 3 Two Square, Petaling Jaya

My supper for last few days was Nadeje mille crepes. Yes, it is now available at Petaling Jaya, congratulation for all mille crepe lovers since you do not have to spend 2 hours journey to go Nadeje at Malacca.

Nadeje KL
The only problem is that the place is quite small in this KL branch, in which there are only about 10-15 tables available at the shop (if I'm not mistaken, since I only had a glance around the place, flooded with people). So you can either wait for your turn or just take away.

I had to take away my mille crepe instead of having there since the place was over-flooded with people. Lazy to wait for the tables. Here is the packaging of my mille crepes.

Nadeje take away
They also provided ice pack to prevent the crepe melted along the way when you bring it back home, so sweet!

I ordered banana chocolate mille crepe and rums and raisin mille crepe. The last time I have Nadeje was last year when I visited Malacca. They still taste amazing after all.

Let's have a closer look at the crepe layers... Layers by layers.....

Banana chocolate
This is the one, banana chocolate, it is full with banana aroma, as if you are eating the banana itself, taste very good!!! Those banana lovers outside, don't forget to try this out.

Rum and raisin
This one is special. I don't really know how to describe the taste, but this is really nice, it's not too sweet, the aroma was amazing, really amazing... never try something taste like this before. I heard this is one of their best seller as well.

For those who still don't know the place, check this out.

Location : Nadeje Cake Shop, B-01-01, Dataran 3 Two Square, Jalan 19/1, Section 19, Petaling Jaya.

Lunch time with Soto Jawa

Soto Jawa, my 1st trying today. There are nasi impit, soohun, some chicken floss inside with clear soup. You can add some chili inside if you like a little bit of spiciness in it.

Soto Jawa
Just notice it is available in the cafe, another food choice to be taken for lunch next time. But the portion is a bit small, coz I feel hungry much more earlier than it used to be.

Hang out with my buddy

I hang out with my buddy this evening and enjoy our dinner together.

It is such a long time since we meet each other last time, a lot of things to catch up for both of us.

We took our dinner at Nando's.. have not be eating that for quite some time. I just ordered the quarter chicken with side dishes, it should be the usual menu whenever I visited Nando's. Hehe..

Here's my dinner tonight

1/4 mild peri chicken with beans salad and potato wedges
How come the chicken looks so small in this photo? Bad photo shooting skill... @_@

After having the dinner, both of us still feel like much more to chat about, therefore we proceeded to Starbucks cafe for another round of chit chatting.

This is the usual drink I ordered almost whenever I go Starbucks, which is the hot chocolate. Well, I don't really able to stand the caffeinated drink, especially when it is night time.

My caramel hot chocolate...

Caramel Hot Chocolate
That's all for tonight, good night!

Dinner at Kenny Rogers Roasters

This is my 1st time eating at Kenny Rogers Roasters without ordering the roasted chicken meal set.

This is the platter, consists of 3 side dishes and 1 muffin, without the chicken.

What to do, fulled of people everywhere during weekend, by the time I reached here, the waiter said need to wait 40 minutes for the chicken. Well, I am too hungry to wait for that, therefore just order whatever they are able to served at that moment.

So here is my dinner for tonight.
